Every year, Motion recognizes and honors a standout individual with our Woman of Impact Award. This year, we’re renaming our industry accolade. The Stacy Gelman WE (Women Empowered) Award in loving memory of Stacy Gelman, a long-time Motion employee who embodied the same workplace excellence and empowerment we seek to recognize.
about Stacy Gelman
Stacy was a force in the professional world. She began her career in advertising as a creative, ultimately rising to the position of Executive Vice President, Director of Operations. Over her incredible 40-year career in marketing (27 of which Motion), Stacy made significant contributions to our business and largest client and was a beloved member of our management team.
Stacy succumbed to a five-year battle with cancer in early 2024 and will forever be remembered for her great leadership and as an excellent example of what this award embraces.

about the owner, Kim Eberl
Starting her agency after being let go from her job, Kim never looked back. With perseverance and determination, grit and resiliency, Kim pushed forward step by step, growing by doing, learning along the way, leading by example, and ultimately by acquiring other businesses to complement her core competencies and offer clients a more comprehensive agency relationship. Her vision continues to lead the Motion agency forward as the largest woman-owned independent agency in Chicago.
