Through Acquisition, Motion Bolsters Healthcare Practice

Motion, a leading integrated marketing agency headquartered in Chicago, today proudly announced its acquisition of Remedy, a branding and design consultancy focused on health, wellness, and social change

Motion’s expertise is anchored in four key practice areas: strategy, creative, content and public relations.  Remedy’s brand strategists and award-winning creative talent strengthen Motion’s multi-disciplined offerings even further. Remedy Founder and President, Carol McCarthy, who started the agency 30 years ago, will join Motion as Executive Vice President, Strategy.

“Carol and I have collaborated for a number of years, and I’ve always held Remedy’s work and colleagues in high regard,” says Motion CEO & Founder Kimberly Eberl. “Bringing our two agencies together is a perfect fit, strategically, culturally and operationally.”

Remedy has extensive experience working with Fortune 250 clients such as Baxter, Abbott and IBM Watson Health, medical device companies and nationally recognized health systems including Chicagoland’s Rush System for Health and their neighbor, the Illinois Medical District.

The healthcare industry has been an important area of focus for Motion; the agency has worked with many health and wellness brands through the years.  In addition to clients in the healthcare space, Motion bolsters an impressive client list across diverse verticals ranging from consumer and retail to non-profits and business-to-business including clients such as The Home Depot, Exelon and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

“I share Kimberly’s passion to deliver exceptional strategic counsel and creative work for respected and leading organizations,” said Carol McCarthy. “Motion has been on a strong growth trajectory for several years, and I’m excited for our Remedy team to join the agency at this pivotal time.”

Motion was the highest-ranking Midwest agency featured in Adweek’s 2019” Fastest Growing Agencies” list. This inaugural list honors organizations large and small from all over the world whose industry presence is on the rise. This distinction is due to Motion’s significant growth over the past three years.

“Motion’s goal, first and foremost, is to provide the best strategic counsel and exceptional service to our clients to deliver solid business results,” said Eberl. “Bringing that first-class client service mentality to even more clients is incredibly exciting.”
